Project Description:
Robinson Preserve is a beautiful 490 acre coastal preserve located at the end of 99 th Street in West Bradenton . Thick natural mangroves grow along this peninsula which is located from the southern tip of Tampa Bay into Perico Bayou. The property underwent a multi-million dollar restoration which included funding from the US Environmental Protection Agency, Southwest Water Management District , US Fish and Wildlife Service and the Sarasota Bay Estuary Program. Manatee County will operate Robinson Preserve as a public park when it opens later in 2008. Prime contractor Bul-Hed, Inc., which specializes in wetland restoration and mitigation engaged Bennett Contracting to handle site utilities and portions of the parking areas and concrete flatwork.
Time Frame: 120 days
“We found Bennett Contracting through this web site and as a land reclamation and heavy construction contractor we know more than just a little about earthmoving and underground utilities. The team at Bennett did an outstanding job working with us and Manatee County officials at Robinson Preserve. We hope to have Bennett assist us with pipe work in the future.”
